Mr. Haytham Sadek – CEO

Haytham Sadek

Mr. Haytham was named Chief Executive Officer of Alshamel Group by the company’s board of directors in May 2015. He joined Alshamel group as Chief Financial Officer one year earlier. He based in Kuwait with regional role.

Mr. Haytham has an extensive international experience in MENA Region for more than 20 years. He earned a wide knowledge and business discipline with high ability to assist in expansion phase and moving to the next level.

Before joining Alshamel, Mr. Haytham was Regional Chief Financial Officer for IDP Education Pty, (ME, Azerbaijan and Turkey). He also worked as Director of Finance in Huawei Technologies and previously as Chief Financial Officer in GE Industrial System.

He served in Europe, China, Gulf and Egypt and certified in professional planning & strategies, six sigma and business modeling. In 2012, he registered as International Arbitrator in Investment Disputes, Contracts for Banks, Intellectual Properties, arbitration Engineering & Petroleum Contracts from United Nations, Geneva International Arbitration, Institute of African Research and Studies, Turkish Arab Chamber Of Commerce Association and European University.

Mr. Amr Hussein – Director, Managed Travel Services

Amr comes from a vast and diverse background with 15+ years of rich experience in the travel industry. He joined us from Carlson Wagonlit Travel – Egypt where he was the Commercial Director overseeing operations & program management as well as responsible for the successful implementation of new global and local clients’ accounts. Previous to that, Amr was with Thomas Cook for 6 years and was mainly involved in operations and development of business.

Mr. Charles Pinho – Senior Operations Manager

Charles Pinho has a degree in Commerce from the Mumbai University in India and is IATA UFTAA certified. He is a career travel professional with over twenty years in the industry. He serves as the Senior Operations Manager responsible for Alshamel’s Regional Contact Centre and is also responsible for Military and Government operations. Charles manages over 30 travel professionals in fulfillment of Alshamel contracts including: Regional managed travel emergency travel service (24/7 emergency travel assistance), Leisure Unit including regional Holiday operations support, Regional B2B operations, B2C support through Alshamel’s online portal, Leisure travel desk for the corporate personal travel requirements, The Regional Refund Desk (central processing of refunds), The US Embassy & Navy projects, Local Corporate operations and Retail office operations. Prior to regional operations activities, Charles was awarded numerous accolades from the US Government as Operations Manager on the Region’s largest travel contract; as Alshamel ticketed over 1 million US military service members on the R&R and emergency leave program. Not a single soldier was left without a ticket through a stringent operations program which he managed.

Ms. Meghan McCabe – Manager, Military & Government Division

With over twenty five years in US Government and DOD contracting, Ms. Meghan McCabe has recently been appointed to head one of the largest revenue-generating divisions, Military & Government. Based in Kuwait, she manages travel professionals in several GCC countries on various contracts including US Military R&R, Emergency Leave, US Navy Contracts in Bahrain and Djibouti, US Embassy contracts (throughout the Region), UN and USAID. She has been the company lead to allow Alshamel Travel to become the only foreign travel management company on GSA schedule.

She has worked extensively in the development of USG and corporate proposals and contracts, quality assurance programs, and in the creation of corporate policies and procedures. Ms. McCabe regularly publishes articles of local interest from a Western perspective in Kuwaiti newspapers and magazines and has written several television scripts for documentaries aired on Kuwait TV.

Mr. Ihsan Sughayer – Area Manager – Jordan

Ihsan has over 30 years of experience in the travel industry. He has worked with Oman Air, KLM and Gulf Air.

Mr. Khalid Romanna– Regional Country Manager – UAE/Qatar/Oman

Mr. Osama Abushaar – Country Manager – KSA

Osama comes with 27 years of rich experience in the travel and aviation industry and was associated with Al Kazimi Travel, Al Bahar Travel, Yaish Travel in Kuwait; Al Bayader Travel and KLM in Jordan; and Al Tayyar Travel, Top Travel & Tourism and Elaf Travel in Riyadh, KSA.
