Leisure Packages in Makkah

Makkah is Islam’s holiest city and is the location for Islam’s holiest shrine, the Ka’aba, to which all Muslims turn when they pray. It’s in the central courtyard of the Grand Mosque and, according to Islamic tradition, was built by the first prophet Ibrahim and his son Ismail.

Beside the Grand Mosque is the sacred Well of Zamzam – which was shown to Hagar by the angel Jibreel, so that her son Ismail wouldn’t die of thirst. It’s a miraculous source of healing water which contains high levels of calcium and magnesium. It is possible to drink from the well, and water is dispensed through coolers at various sites including in the Holy Mosque.
